People in all coountries traditionally get together since they want to celebrate. But it is really different to celebrate Christmas in the Winter than in the Summer. When I was in Argentina for the holidays, I realized there Christmas has nothig to do with snow: on the contrary, it is the peak of Summer so everybody celebrates with their family in terraces and balconies. Then they do all the fireworks thing and after that the young go to parties where they get wet! I rented apartments in Buenos Aires for several years and spent many Christmas there. I love the way they party, it is wild and hot (due to the weather!)
